Hi! I'm Angie, head baker and chief writer here at Angie's Sweet Natured Treats.
My husband David is the artistic director and lead photographer. He won't let me touch his DSLR, because apparently I "break things". Whatever.
We live in Franklin, TN, which is a few miles south of Nashville, for those of you who may be unfamiliar. We have two dogs, Layla and Rucca, and zero children.
I created this blog because I am a tiny bit obsessed with food. I love to eat it, I love to talk about it, I love to look at it. I even dream about it from time to time.
Above all, I love, or rather live, to bake.
I would rather spend my time baking than almost anything else on earth.
My love for baking started at a fairly young age. I remember spending hours pouring through all of the dessert recipes in my mom's cookbooks as a child.
I come from a long line of bakers, including my mom and both of my grandmothers. Perhaps this is a hereditary condition?
I strive to use only the freshest, most natural ingredients available, and I prefer to get them from local sources. I bake with the ingredients that my grandmothers would have used: real butter, real cream, real sugar, and occasionally even lard. Yes, I said lard.
My goal with this blog is to create a chronicle of my own recipes, as well as to share tips and tricks that I have learned along the way. I hope you'll join me as I continue to explore and expand my passion.
